Schärffix® appareil à parer le cuir

I am the owner of an American company that makes a custom leather product in which I have to skive “pair” the ends of smaller leather pieces as part of a larger product. I was looking at a bell skiver, cheap Chinese knockoffs all over Amazon even in Green, and even a version of this pairing tool sold by a company from Texas, my home state.

I weighed the costs and looked into all the reviews and the reviews for the cheap Chinese knock offs on Amazon were 1-2 stars? But you might wonder “well, how much better could this be?” I do buy German hand tools by German companies and LOVE them. I know the added cost of those tools is worth it so I went with Schmidt. And it turns it is even more incredible than I could’ve ever imagined.

The product came beautifully packaged in an incredible case with blades and a wonderful little leather sample in the blade to show how fine you can skive or pair this leather and it was impressive.

After using a standard high quality skiving blade for years this tool has made my workflow much, much faster, maybe 5-6 times faster with NO wasted leather anymore. Only the perfect depth and thickness every single time.

Again, I could not be happier with my purchase, well worth every single cent. German engineering at its finest. Please keep at it Schmedt, this tool is truly incredible and irreplaceable.

Don’t even waste your time with a knock off, it’ll only frustrate you and you’ll end up wasting money a giant bell skiver thinking this tool won’t do the job because it’s perfect, just as fast and precise but takes up no space and is actually fun to use!

I would’ve paid double the price had I known it would’ve been this incredible.
